Nang mga sumunod na araw niya sa Pilipinas ay hindi siya tinantanan ng binatang sundalo. Unti-unti niyang nakilala kung sino talaga ito. Nalaman niyang hindi naman pala ito masama kagaya ng sinabi ng ama niya. Pero nang makilala niya kung sino talaga ang binata at kung ano ang parte nito sa buhay niya ay labis siyang nasaktan. Pinagsisihan niyang hindi siya naniwala sa sinabi ng ama na masama itong tao.
