Lucy's cousin is getting married, and her mom is all too excited to introduce Lucy's successful boyfriend - Chris Sanford, a smug, perfectly polished lawyer who also happens to be Lucy's ex. Except... Lucy and Chris broke up months ago, and she never told her mom. Now, with the wedding around the corner and Chris definitely attending, Lucy panics and blurts out that she is dating someone new - just as Tim Bradford walks into the room. Caught in the lie, Lucy ropes Tim into a fake dating plan to make her ex jealous and keep her mom off her back. But when the hotel only has one bed, the wine starts flowing, and old feelings bubble up... pretending gets a lot harder than either of them expected.
