Olivia Baker, hopeless romantic and growing artist, makes the move to Los Angeles to pursue her dream as a painter. Along the way, she attempts to bond with her brother and make new friends in the thriving city. Once her artistic eye catches her brother's best friend, Spencer James, the strokes of her paint brush become a bit more lively.

After a tumultuous first semester at Golden Angeles University, we jump ahead to sophomore year. Everything has changed but will it stay that way? TW: This story is heavily mental health based. Some heavy topics will be discussed.

Spencer James moves from the comfort of his own home to chase his dream of becoming an actor. Along the way, he meets people that will change his life; Some for the better. Others for the worse. It's all up to him to decide which is which.

I saw him first. He's everything I swore off and everything I shouldn't want. It's a new city, the fresh start I needed, so why do I feel like I'm experiencing some sick form of deja vu. He's perfect for her, everything she's ever wanted. Her friendship is everything I've ever needed, but I saw him first. Everything is going as I planned. My football dreams are beyond what I could've imagined, I'm killing it in school, and I've got the perfect girl. The only problem is, I saw her best friend first. One fleeting moment. That's all it was. One stupid party, one drunken encounter, and somehow, I saw her first.

After Olivia's relapse in her senior year of high school, she is sent to a treatment facility in Baltimore. Far away from home, she begins a new life while she's in recovery. When her best friend, Spencer James, is drafted by the Baltimore Ravens, her old life becomes a part of her new one. Will they be able to move forward after the events that occurred before their senior year of high school?
