Humans have destroyed earth, leaving only a few survivors. Suspecting this would happen, the government chose genetically altered candidates, wiped their memory, implanted fake memories, and placed them in an experiment. They would face the same challenges that humanity had succumbed to, but on a smaller scale, allowing them to create a solution which was supposed to be implemented in the real world, but the experiment backfired and a sinister plot is growing, where Ava Valentino finds out things in her world aren't what they look like.
