His metal counterpart captured him and brought him to the mad man's lair. There, Eggman tries to awaken and control Dark Sonic. But something goes wrong with the experiment and instead of awakening Dark Sonic, Eggman unleashes something terrifying, something more powerful... and something much, much more dangerous... Sonic.EXE... With a demon possessing his soul, Sonic seems lost to the madness. The creature who haunts him has only one goal: to release his brethren from Ealim Bila Ruh, the "realm without souls".
