It's Katara's first year at Wan's Bending Academy. A school where only a select few from all over the four nations are accepted and get to learn from the best masters. Being the last bender from the south pole, Katara is eager to learn more about the ancient, sacred art of bending. But it turns out, life at the academy might not be as easy as she thought. Enemies to friends to... more😏- After joining the gang, Zuko has to earn the forgiveness of Katara, and in doing so they begin to grow closer. Both fire and water elements can be driven by passion & it a appears they may have more in common than they think. This will differ from the shows plot and timeline but I will do my best to stay true to the characters. TW/ Smut later on but I will put a disclaimer or warning before chapters containing anything NSFW.

But when iroh is struck by azulas lightning surprise attack, zuko is crushed by the weight of possibly losing his uncle. "zuko i can help." katara spoke soft kind words but zuko doesnt want her help. "LEAVE!" sokka goes missing during aangs earthbending lesson and katara leaves to find him only to find iroh alone drinking tea? what if she helps him heal? and what if zuko comes back from training in the storm to find them laughing and talking about him??! has the prince been thinking of her for months? Long ago, the four nations were engaged in war. But everything changed when the Fire Nation splits in half. With Fire Lord Ozai slain, Prince Zuko now takes the throne as Princess Azula regroups in Ba Sing Sae with Ozai loyalists to conquer and attempt to take the Fire Nation throne back. The hunt for the Avatar's friends begin again. This time in a quest for allyship to liberate the Earth Kingdom from Azula's tyrannical pull. The story goes back to the time of the Southern Raiders, when Katara and Zuko make a trip for Katara's revenge for her mother. What would it be if they had more time together, not just return to the gang immediately? AU where Katara is the Avatar// While on a quest to restore his honor, Zuko stumbles across a girl stranded on an iceberg. Katara has no memories when she wakes from the ice. They journey together through the South Pole, Zuko trying to find the Avatar and Katara trying to regain her memories. A cruel twist of fate pits their destinies against each other and even as Katara is accepting her legacy as the Avatar, Zuko must decide between her and his destiny.

Katara is 18 and the Southern Water Tribe has held an uneasy allegiance with the Fire Nation for the last 100 or so years. When Katara's tribe goes through a food shortage, Katara takes it upon herself to make sure they survive. She agrees to enter a competition where the young Prince Zuko will choose a wife out of 35 women. Katara promises herself she only has to last a day until a truce she can't ignore is offered, and now Katara is in it for the long haul. A Zutara! Selection AU.
