She won a class trip to Gotham and now she finally has a chance to be a normal teen. But who is the emerald-eyed boy who just won't leave her mind? Gotham holds many secrets for the hero of Paris. Marinette, a former high-ranking assassin raised in the League, is betrothed to Damian Al Ghul, the heir to the Demon's Head. After being separated for years due to an attack by Deathstroke, Marinette is adopted by a family in France, where she lives a new life as a mysterious fashion designer known as MDC. Despite her cold exterior, the trauma of being bullied and betrayed by classmates haunts her. Upon enrolling at Gotham Academy, Marinette reunites with Damian, and the bond they once shared as betrothed quickly rekindles. As they navigate their pasts, Damian, now a member of the Wayne family, decides to bring Marinette into his world, promising never to leave her side again. Together, they uncover the truth of their past and face the challenges that come with their rekindled relationship, all while balancing their identities and the weight of their respective legacies.

Everything had been going down lately: Lila's return from Achu, Master Fu being forced to give her the Miraculous Box, her declining trust from her classmates, her friendships seeming to fall through her fingers, the increase in akuma attacks. Marinette, feeling like she has no one left to rely on, falls back on her Ladybug persona. Things change dramatically as Marinette focuses single-mindedly on her goals and disregards the things she no longer deems important. Everyone has a soulmate song that they receive when they turn 10 years old. One soulmate has the tune, and the other has the words. Only the soulmates can recognise and hum their song. Once the soulmates meet, the song comes together, and they can sing the full song. However, even without meeting the other, they can recognise the words and tune. Both soulamtes only get their songs when the youngest has come of age. Daminette.

After all, his dad was in prison for being the super villain Hawkmoth and his other caretaker Nathalie died from over use of a broken Miraculous. So, now Marinette is the guardian of the miraculous. Will her bullies lies get exposed? Will she find love in the most dangerous city in the world? Will she find out the identities of Gotham's heroes? Yes, probably, but its all about the ride and not the destination. This is mostly a salt and fluff fic.
