It was a few days after Firestorm's daughter, Icewing told her that she was expecting her mate's cubs, and Firestorm was ecstatic for her. Moonstar asked Firestorm to take a patrol over to HumanPlace to see how they were doing and if they were planning on attacking anytime soon. When they were hiding in some brush, Icewing was taken from Firestorm's side. She had been taken prisoner, and the humans also broke one of Firestorm's wings when she tried to break Icewing free.
