After he left you weren't very unstable. But, you spend time with Jacob. Third book: Edward wanted you to marry him. And you wanted to be a vampire. So you said yes. You want to be with Edward forever. Fourth book: You get married to Edward. But, when you had sex with him. Something happened. You become pregnant. You thought that you can't have kids with Edward. Your body couldn't handle it. You died during child birth. Few days later you woke up. You were a vampire.
