When The Ōoku is plagued by a supernatural disturbance, a Mononoke born from intense emotional suffering, repression, and past trauma-particularly among the women who live in isolation and are bound by strict, often cruel rules of status and hierarchy. Kage Hayashi goes to investigate, planning to go undercover by acting as a New girl to discover the Mononoke while trying not to get noticed by much people and accidentally become a concubine or scribe, ends up meeting with a different Mononoke who desires to discover the truth with her as well, yet only one is allowed in. He traveled everywhere, no one knew his origin, or who he was. Mononoke, is what he sought out and exorcised. It's something caused by people's negative emotions and he will be the one to "cure" it. The Medicine Seller always proceeds in the same manner, using his knowledge of the supernatural to fend off the Mononoke until he can learn the spirit's Form (形 katachi), Truth (誠 makoto), and Regret (理り kotowari). Only then can he unsheathe his sword and exorcise the demon. He never knows.... A mysterious woman from nowhere, blatantly waltz into his "journey" She calls herself "Uranaishi" and is a strange "person" It is rumored that "Uranaishi" is a good person, helping others change their fate. There are also rumors that "Uranaishi" is an evil spirit that spreads "karma" to people. Others rumored that "Uranaishi" was not someone from somewhere, just an ordinary fortuneteller. But.... Is that the "truth"....? This is a story about the journey of a "Mononoke" wandering around to find her pleasure, while exorcises Mononoke who "tainted" the human world.

[Under heavy revision and editing.] The Edo period of Japan, where the ancient rules apply in society. In such a society, roams a Kusuriuri, quite old at heart, but young in appearance. His only goal, his reason for existence, to slay the Mononokes haunting people. What happens when a young woman of age 20, gets sent to the past from the present era? Her eyes see the old man, and follow him. The solitary Kusuriuri gains a companion in his otherwise solitary life. However, this young lass of a child, seems to hold a number of secrets, her mind appearing seemingly unreachable, possibly holding a frightening amount of dark wisdom. Disclaimer: This fanfiction will contain dark topics and triggering themes. I do not own anything except the plot and the OCs. Everything else belong to their respective owners. Also, no romamce between Kusuriuri and the girl. It's going to be purely a father-daughter relationship between them.
