As Near and Kana dig up the past, memories surface, causing tension between the two detectives who are steadily falling for each other. Will they be able to push aside their past and move on ? Will they finally acknowledge their feelings for each other ? Who is the new owner of the deathnote ? What are their motives ? Will they get drunk on its power like Kira before them?
