four quirky best friend + three seemingly useless (but cute) boys + the most popular guy in school turned zombie + a stoner found hiding in a cupboard = a surprisingly efficient rat-tag group of zombie slayers on their way up the east coast of australia to their safe haven. Some of them may have biceps for brains, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. BEWARE: excessive amounts of pop culture references, bad jokes and zombie guts ahead. (PLEASE NOTE: I wrote this from 2014-2016 when I was 14-16, it has never been edited and was written on a whim with no planning. I hope it's still enjoyable but be mindful it is an old book!) #Wattys2016 [action #25]

Set in the savage, primordial world of the The Walking Dead, the new original short story "A Fork in the Road" by Jay Bonansinga, the New York Times bestselling author of The Walking Dead: Invasion, tells the tale of one person's epic quest to escape their fate in Alexandria, Virginia. The only problem is, nobody leaves the ranks of the violent gang known as the Saviors and lives to tell about it. The struggle to flee the clutches of this group and find peace among the ruins of northern Maryland leads the reader directly into the heart of darkness. And like most stories set in this terrifying world, things in the end are not at all what they seem. Inspired by Skybound and Scopely's The Walking Dead: Road to Survival, the official mobile game for Robert Kirkman's popular comic series, The Walking Dead. Watch out boys... Katherine Gray isn't a man eater, but more of a man hater. Katherine has your typical womanly problem, men; and as only a junior in college, she's finally had enough. When the Adler scholarship finally rolls around in the fall, Katherine is more than ready to expose men for the true dirt bags that they are, as well as their many other different disguises. The conditions are simple: The time limit is one semester, must involve the United States, and be a remarkable exposé about the hard-hitting truth. Katherine's response? Simple. One semester to travel to every state in the U.S. and date 50 men, exposing the truths, secrets, and dirty lies from their lives. Besides, what's better than a hard hitting truth, that gives even a harder hitting smack down to the male gender? However, uncovering the dirty truth about men has Katherine finding the dirty truth about herself, and uncovering a certain truth she may not want to discover.
