There are barriers that can prevent you from receiving the Holy Spirit and even if you receive the Holy Spirit they can block or hinder his work. These are not barriers on His side as all things are possible for God. The only thing that is required is your consent and willingness to be worked on and change. A famous preacher once asked "Are you willing, to be made willing to allow God into your life?". A few common barriers are discussed here.

This is something I just felt a deep need to write. I felt that I needed to write and I have this deep feeling in my heart to write about what I think of God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and most importantly, Satan.

But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.- John 14:26
