After finding out who the true mastermind of the game was, Kokichi Oma was forced to participate in the new killing game along with 14 new students. The 16th student was none other than Shuichi Saihara, the Ultimate Despair Detective.

When an unhealthy obsession leads to a case of mass-murder. Shuichi always felt watched. Wherever he went, the shady presence would follow. It scared him beyond belief. But he could have never imagined what would happen if this mysterious presence started to slowly reveal himself.

Shuichi Saihara solves cases together with his sister Kyoko Kirigiri. One day he comes across the phantom thief case. He and his sister accepted it, and have their first chase. And well..... let's just pretend that didn't end with Shuichi hanging upside down with a rope around his legs waiting for someone to find him and free him from the thiefs trap. After that fiasco Shuichi is determined to find out who the thief is and put him behind bars. He never would've guessed that this thief would end up stealing his heart.
