This tale is set in the mountains of North Carolina in the middle to late 1940's. The hardships, the lives, loves, and mystery that surround several families in The Holler and on Hager Mountain. What is the blue haze in the sky that frightens Junior and Cliff? What, and/or who is causing the hexes, spells and strange happenings, and why? Does it want the baby? Why? Can they stop it? My story is written in the way I was brought up to speak, the mountain/country slang, however, I'm sure there are tons of grammatical error as well as spelling, but that's how I was brought up because it was all "correct" to us.
