It was the last day of summer camp. All of the Children's parents had come that day to pick them up. Max's parents, however, had arrived late to bring him home. David noticed that Max had been very much against the idea of going home. However, David doesn't think much of it at the time. Max may still hate David, but he soon comes to realize that David may be his only hope...(Yeah uh, I don't know what else to put in this horrible description, so I guess read the story to find out more..? David had been worried about max for a while, after the parents day incident he came to realize that max's parents really didn't care. He had what his old parents and the kids at his school call "monster eyes". He always hated his eyes and wore contacts, but the summer after he was taken in by David, he lost his contacts. Max wakes up and isn't feeling too hot. He's afraid to admit it because his real parents just don't pay attention to him and he's afraid of being fawned over. However, David is here to the rescue weather or not max wants it. (warning, cursing cause max. Also warning to squeamish people?)

Set after the events of Parent's Day, things haven't exactly gone back to normal how everyone thought they would.
