Both Suo and Sakura are terrible at talking about emotions. They're used to fists doing the talking. So instead of "I care about you," you get "Why didn't you dodge?" or "Don't get hit again." Suo burns quietly. His affection turns into frustration, protectiveness, and sometimes even recklessness. He doesn't just want to protect Sakura - he needs to. This story is about everything they don't say. It's about the glances, the tension after fights, the bruises that aren't just physical. And it's about how two boys raised in violence slowly begin to realize that caring deeply about someone might be the most dangerous thing of all.
