Every villain needs money, right? But in that kind of buissnes, it's hard to get it the legal way, so why not kidnap a rich child for ransom- or even better, four rich children? That's exactly what the Joker was planning to do, maybe he would even get to kill the Bat and his little bird if they'd come to the boys' rescue. But what happens when the Young Justice is assigned to protect Dick Grayson, Jason Todd, Tim Drake and Damian Wayne, four of the richest children of Gotham? And the team is not at full strength, for Robin has left to some mission with Batman in Germany, but they can stop the Joker anyway, right? Right?! 1. Protecting the Batbrothers 2. Project W.I.N.G.

Instead of Jason Todd being the one to have been killed by the Joker, it was Dick Grayson. Dick is of course resurrected by Ra's Al Ghul, and the effects of the Lazarus Pit permanently does some damage to his sanity. When Dick finally gets a grip on himself and finds a way to return to Gotham, how will he react when it seems as though his loved ones completely replaced him? This story is lightly based on "Under the Red Hood," but only features a couple of scenes from the movie. Also, this is held in the Young Justice universe.

Cadmus was over, the remains of the evil organization was being overseen by Guardian to create a kinder, more gentle research facility instead of the whacko science experiment Desmond made it. He had lots to do, way too much actually, so when a little G-Gnome is begging for his attention he, thinking a little distraction might do him some good, explores a different part of Sub-Level 52. He finds a whole new experiment with the violital substance known as Xenothium and the boy they imbued with its properties. Now Guardian has one too many problems and his first decision is to contact the Justice League. I own nothing but the plot and the cover! Warnings for heavy themes like human experimentation (mentioned) and emotional manipulation and all the recovery that comes with that including a touch of PTSD. This is more fluffy than most but it doesn't start out that way.

EDIT: This story was originally a one-shot called "I'm A Mistake" but since my first readers wanted more, I turned it into a full book. The title is in Dick Grayson's native language, Romani, and it translates to "Sick Bird" Below is my old>new description. He's convinced that all he is... is a mistake. And why shouldn't he be? Growing up as Bruce Wayne's ward, Dick always thought he was just a normal kid... or as normal as one could get when they spend their nights wearing a cape and fighting crime alongside a fully grown man who enjoys dressing up like a bat. However, when he stumbles across another version of himself just going about his daily life, Dick begins to realize that he is actually quite far from normal. He is a meta human, one with the ability to produce a specific number of clones, clones that he unwittingly created amidst the trauma of his parents' deaths. As the pieces slowly fall into place, Dick realizes that the intense migraines and sudden bouts of fatigue that he has been experiencing for years are in fact linked to his absent clones; clones who have developed their own unique personalities while scattered down drastically different paths. Will Dick be able to find them all? Will he be driven insane as he learns the lives that these versions of himself have lived? There he meets six year old aerialist Dick Grayson and fellow ten year old, Jessie-Anna Haly, the stunt kid in the circus. After three good years the circus returns to Gotham.
