Book two in the Lily Rose series. "You don't understand!" I exclaimed suddenly, pulling away from him. "I don't feel him. I don't feel him at all!" I put my hands over the left side of my chest. "It's like he isn't here!" I started breathing heavily and stared at his golden eyes that glowed in the fading light. "I don't understand, James. Is there something wrong with me? Is God...mad at me?"

The Jackal bounded up the staircase, four at a time. I quickly assessed my situation and surroundings. Just as The Jackal reached the top of the stairs, I jumped onto the balcony railing. "Lily!" James screamed. "What are you doing?" I looked behind me and saw The Jackal drawing nearer. Then I jumped off the railing. -------- Lily Rose doesn't have a normal hobby.
