Classic field trip trope, except Peter technically isn't supposed to be on the trip; Peter is forced to stay home at the Avengers Compound the day his Academic Decathlon team takes a field trip to the compound.

Hailey meets Steve and becomes best friends. Steve keeps Hailey hidden from the rest of the Avengers because she doesn't want them to bother her. She became a vigilante, despite Steve's concern. She knows the risk if people find out about her. She knows the risk of her safety, but she wants to help. Steve constantly tries to get her to join the Avengers, but she doesn't want the attention. She is introduced to the Avengers after deciding to meet them. The same night Ultron appears.

Peter Parker has been living in Stark tower with all the other Avengers for a while now, and he loves it there. Then one day at school he receives a permission slip for a field trip to his own home! (I know this trope has been done a million times before but! It's a good trope! I think I can put a bit of my own spin on it anyway. Also, Peter Parker is autistic and you can pry that headcanon from my cold, dead hands.)

It's a field trip. It's always a field trip. Because who do we as writers send on field trips more than Peter Parker? Peter's going to SI, Flash doesn't believe him, the Avengers want to embarrass him, and my creativity went flying out the window. Also, Trans Peter Parker because why not? This might turn into something longer. I don't know yet.
