As Xara walks out under the sunlight, she believes it's the beginning of a brand new life. A life, filled with light, freedom and other people; a life, where nothing seems to be able to go wrong. Post- Season 2. Romeo expressed his desire to make up for everything he's done and wants to make it up to Xara and everyone else he hurt. Upon meeting her again, Xara is overwhelmed by bitterness and anger towards him and is unwilling to forgive.
