Nineteen Eighty-Four, often published as 1984, is a dystopian novel published in 1949 by English author George Orwell. The novel is set in Airstrip One, formerly Great Britain, a province of the superstate Oceania, whose residents are victims of perpetual war, omnipresent government surveillance and public manipulation. Oceania's political ideology, euphemistically named English Socialism (shortened to "Ingsoc" in Newspeak, the government's invented language that will replace English or Oldspeak) is enforced by the privileged, elite Inner Party. Via the "Thought Police", the Inner Party persecutes individualism and independent thinking, which are regarded as "thoughtcrimes".

Wherever you go, no matter what the weather, always bring your own sunshine. - Anthony J. D'Angelo Life has never been easy or simple for Ellie. She was born deformed, the outcast of her pack, abused and shunned. She spends her life running from the negativity and the darkness, trying to find her happiness. All she wants is peace and joy, but what is she supposed to do when rejection, sorrow and frustration is all she ever seems to be capable of finding? Maybe not everyone deserves to be happy, but where did she go wrong? What could she have possibly done to deserve such torture? This story is only half edited and kind of a mess in my opinion! There will be plot-holes and mistakes! If you see any feel free to point them out and I'll fix it up during editing. This was my first ever story so it needs some help lol Just a few of my favorite comments: Loved it? It turned into my life!!! Ellie's stab made me feel pain in my chest as well. You weren't kidding when you said the story wasn't that predictable. Honestly, whenever a new twist came, I'd say it was familiar(because the sudden situation Ellie would find herself into is) but it still caught me very much off guard nonetheless. You had a knack for making me invested in one paragraph therefore surprising me in the next. I loved that. the thrill, the suspense, the shock and pain. And because you made it first person pov, the reader could relate or maybe even see themselves in Ellie's life. I am looking forward for the sequel. I'm proud to say i read this book and was here before it became 1M+ reads. 100/10 score👏 you[author] deserve it. This needs to be read by many. - @JRDRRS WHAT. A. PLOT. TWIST. fricken genius - @xsapphira 😭😭😭8 literally cried and sobbed I don't think I have ever done that before in a book its always just silent tears...... This book is truly amazing - @daedalian9 You sure know how to keep someone hooked. It was a crazy ride.- @Inumidun700
