Sevens years down the road has took a different route than Sam thought was possible. From having the worst four years in high school, she can finally say she's happy. When it comes to independence, Kai can say she has everything she needs and that includes herself and only herself. But when someone comes into her life and makes her fall harder than she fell before, realizing that being independent comes with a price but allowing someone inside your life comes with an even bigger price that Kai soon comes face to face with. Kai's life changes in a way she can't comprehend cause this woman she allowed herself to get comfortable with becomes a whole new meaning to the word independent.
