Bevor ich die Cullens kennenlernte hatte ich schon so viel erlebt. Ich wurde verwandelt als ich 17 war. Erst vor wenigen Wochen hatte ich geheiratet - einen gut aussehenden jungen Mann aus reichem Hause. Gerade waren wir in unser Neues Haus eingezogen, als es an der Tür klopfte. Dafür, dass wir im Jahre 1623 lebten, hatten wir es gut und ich war gerade dabei das Essen zu machen, als ich daraufhin an die Tür ging. Wunderschöne Gestalten standen vor mir.
