You have the highest scores in every subject! I can't even beat you!" He answered desperately, but it was obvious that he was acting like it. "Come on. It's on the seventh floor. It is hidden behind a painting. It's near the Room of Requirement" she points out. "Wasn't that destroyed by Crabbe?" 'He can't know that it still exists. He'd find out about Melody...'She thought."Yeah, I meant, where it was." She say with doubt in her voice. He must have noticed because he looks at her with a raised eyebrow. "What, did I say something wrong? " Hermione asks him. "No, but you weren't sure. That's not like you at all." Since turning 25, Hermione's friends and family seem to believe that she is sad and lonely, mostly due to some of them already being settled down. Because of this though, they all seem bound and determined to help her with her love life. It has almost become a competition for them to find her the one they think is her perfect other half. Thus Hermione keeps being pushed into one blind date after another. Its a bit like kissing frogs to find her prince. Tedious and overwhelming. The cherry on top however is that Draco Malfoy seems to keep appearing out of no where, especially on her more disastrous dates!

"I wonder… can you handle me Malfoy?" She whispered into his ear. "The question here, Granger is, can you handle me?" He smirked.

Draco turned and smiled at her when he heard her enter the room. "Hello, Hermione." "Can you please stop smiling at me like that?" she snapped. His smile faltered. "Smiling at you like what?" "Like, like, like we're friends or something!" she stammered. "Don't you remember who I am? Or did you hit your head a little too hard during the war?" she continued angrily. "What the hell are you talking about Hermione?" Draco was frowning now, making a visible effort to curtail his own irritation. "Of course I remember you. I was simply being polite to make this easier on both of us." This is the prequel to Fated to Love You and follows the development of Draco and Hermione's friendship during their last year at Hogwarts!
