I'm still recovering from episode 18 of season 8 of The Rookie, the season finale and a very traumatic cliffhanger. This story directly follows the events at the end of the episode and writing it will help me get over the trauma and wait for season 9.

In worry Tim's mom comes to the hospital and Lucy needs to act like her and Tim are dating when that is definitely not the case, they are just friends, at least that's what they tell themselves. Set around season 4.
