Follow my Instagram for any updates and if you have any questions: @nikki_k123 Alex has been living the same life, with the same routine, repeating it every day. Every day is the same. The one thing she does look forward to is going to cafe de l'amour every morning on her way to school, where she sits and writes, all while seeing Carter Reed. The most popular boy at school who, surprisingly, prefers the solitary life. They go to the same cafe every day, sit at the same tables every day, and notice each other every day, yet are strangers who have never uttered a word to one another. And strangers they shall remain. Perfect strangers. But that's about to change. . . . . . I watched as he kept his eyes trained on the notebook in front of him where he aimlessly drew spirals and coils that surrounded each other, trapped each other, and suffocated each other. My eyes traced the movement of his pen, following each line he drew onto the paper. "Your tea." I snapped out of my trance and looked up, thanking Katy before she went back to the counter. I turned back and caught him looking at me. I expected him to look away and continue acting like I don't exist. Like he's always done and so have I. What I didn't expect was for him to walk right over and sit with me. "Hi, I'm Carter." PSA: This story is inspired by the Wattpad novel 'Caffeine' by @meddlingkids ALL RIGHTS RESERVED

Highest ranking: #1 in Teen Fiction -- "Sunshine, what guy do you know has a weird fetish with sign language?" She's the aftermath of a high school party nightmare. Tragedy robbed her of her innocence and stole her voice before she had the chance to speak out. The court called her a liar, and the guilty was set free. Now memories plague her mind and trap her in solitude. She was forced to learn sign language, struggling to find a way to voice her silence. He's the definition of the boy she tried to stay away from. The epitome of harsh rumors and hopeless fantasies. The source of lies and blame. He's analyzed, misunderstood, and utterly mysterious. And he may be the one to find her voice. When they meet, she gets accustomed to his arrogance and he gets accustomed to her silence. An essay is what brings them together, but what happens when he starts asking too many questions? Will her past continue to drag her down, or will he save her? Fate has a funny way of bringing people together, but it doesn't always work how it's supposed to. *different summary inside* "Perfect amount of tragedy, humor, and romance!" -Sparkles530 "I feel like I learned a lot from your story, thank you." - 980Sarah "This book is beautifully written. He at least wants to taste what it's like before he decides. She was the sun; warm, bright, radiant, and full of the purest light. He was the stars; distant and scarce, yet fascinating and effervescent if you took the time to look closely enough. They seem so different at first glance, the sun and the stars, but they are just alike.

'A scared little girl, that's you, Willow. That's all you've ever been and all you ever will be, do you understand?' He spits venomously, getting so close to me that all I can see and hear is him, all I can feel is him and I hate it. I try my hardest to swallow the lump in my throat and ignore the tears threatening to spill over as his hurtful words echo in my head. Shaking my head feebly, I try and take a step back but he clamps his hands tightly onto my shoulders, forcing me to meet his dark eyes. I can't even find it in me to feel embarrassed anymore when a traitorous tear escapes my eye, prompting a scoff from Eli. I just need to get away from him, even if it's just a few steps, I need to put some distance between us so I can escape his painful words. But despite my struggle, his grip on my shoulders only tighten and soon the corners of his lips are lifting in malice when he sees how desperate I become to get out of his hold. 'So stop trying to play the hero when you're such a coward yourself. Because that's all you are- just a weak, pathetic, littl-' And that's when I slap him. And I regret it instantly- because no-one, and I mean no-one, slaps Eli Walters and gets away with it. --- I was only thirteen when my best friend was taken from me. Up until that point, we had practically been inseparable. And then she was gone, and overnight I had to learn to adapt to a life without the light of Ciara Walters in it. Doing even the simplest of things suddenly became a hundred times harder and walking into school that following fall without her by my side felt like one of the worst things I had ever had to face. Especially since I knew who was waiting for me inside, because the day I lost my best friend was also the day I gained an enemy in the form of a boy called Eli Walters, Ciara's twin brother. • TW: mentions of death. | @oreoz4milk x.9.20
