"I'll always remember you." Vanessa has been on the run from the Red Room academy ever since she was taken by hydra right before her graduation. With both organizations after her, she has been living a nomad's life, constantly moving. The fear that they might catch up to her haunts Vanessa daily. After years like this, Vanessa finally found a job working for the Avengers, through one of her contacts on the street. She hides her past and attempts to hide her skills from them. But that doesn't last long. When her skills are exposed to the team, they start asking questions. The questions bring back not-so-pleasant flashbacks of her old life. Over time Vanessa and Steve grow closer, and he comforts her through the flashbacks and anxiety. But just as people are starting to care for her again, she pushes them away. The fear of hurting more people haunts her. So does her past. Vanessa doesn't think anybody could care about her, let alone love her. For who could love such Damaged Goods?

Darcy is tired of digging her narcissistic father from his messes. She's even more tired of being locked away on Asgard. She might just be able to find her escape on Midgard with The Avengers, but that leaves her powers unmonitored and unpredictable. Bucky's first encounter with Darcy leaves a sour taste in his mouth, but there is no denying the underlying attraction between the two. Will he eventually give in to the temptation, and what will happen if Darcy fully embodies her powers as the Goddess of the Night?
