Bronwyn Larson has spent her whole life not depending on her mother, a constantly recovering addict, until the moment her life was literally torn apart when an EF4 tornado ripped through their trailer park and her mom is found dead, miles away after the storm. Suddenly, her estranged father is a part of her life, a prominent state senator who's been absent since Bronwyn was born, a product of her parents' secretive affair. After living alone with her mother in a trailer for seventeen years, Bronwyn now has a stepmother and four new siblings, including an older brother and sister who seem skeptical, if not actually disproving, of Bronwyn living with them. While staying with them in their vacation lake house an hour away from what she called home, Bronwyn is hit with the bombshell that her mother's death is being treated as suspicious, with injuries inconsistent of being killed during the tornado. Estranged from everyone she knows, except her estranged new family, Bronwyn doesn't know who trust or who to believe about her mother's death. Torn between her life as the daughter of a single drug addict and the middle child of a well-respected senator, all while learning more about the mother she thought she knew, Bronwyn is forced to navigate through this new unfamiliar life alone, with this gut feeling she has. That her mother's killer isn't unfamiliar. 𝐓𝐎 𝐁𝐄 𝐏𝐔𝐁𝐋𝐈𝐒𝐇𝐄𝐃 𝐌𝐀𝐘 18th 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟏 𝐓𝐇𝐑𝐎𝐔𝐆𝐇 𝐖𝐀𝐓𝐓𝐏𝐀𝐃 𝐁𝐎𝐎𝐊𝐒 Cover designed by Ashley Bandy

#1 in Coach {9/11/20} #1 in GirlPower #2 in Writing Contest {9/29/20} #13 in High School Romance {9/21/20} #32 in Teen Fiction Emily King hated two things more than anything: 1. Being told that a girl couldn't play a mean game of football. 2. A certain stormy-eyed-son-of-the-devil that went by the name of Kaden Reyes. Put those two together and Emily faces a force to be reckoned with, one that pushes her to the limit while driving her to the brink of madness. Emily King was no average girl. Raised with two older brothers and a dad who coached fulltime football, Emily's childhood was filled with massive amounts of testosterone, Gatorade, sweat, and footballs. Being surrounded by football players all the time should've made her immune to the boyish charms of the species we call males...it should have... Kaden Reyes was the storm Emily could never navigate. Her childhood was filled with the unwanted presence of the son-of-a-demon. From pulling her hair in the third grade, to throwing snowballs in her face, or chasing all the boys Emily found herself crushing over away, Kaden managed to turn Emily's world upside down. When he moves away just a year into middle school, the news is heaven on a platter for Emily. No more chaos. No more making her miserable. No more annoying her to the ends of the world. Finally, Emily thinks she has her life under control. Adjusting her sails and cruising through life, things seem to be clearer than ever, until a thunderous presence darkens the horizon. A storm in the form of now a dangerous blue-eyed man comes crashing back into her life, tearing down her walls and wrecking chaos on her world. Adjust your sails, tighten the lines, and raise the anchor. Emily is about to sail into a hurricane that might just swallow her whole, for this blue-eyed storm has plans, and they all start with Emily. All Rights Reserved @_Lindy_L_

I snapped, was it just me or did my boss suddenly lose his mind? One minute he was talking about rescheduling the meeting booked at two and then he said kiss me, maybe he said something else, maybe it was miss, bliss, piss? But all the thoughts in my head were swiped away as he stood up from his chair, his tall frame hovering over me before he grabbed my arm so roughly the baguette I was holding fell out of my grip and he pulled me upwards, and the man I have worked for three years and never touched suddenly was pressed against my chest as his lips met mine. And the piece of baguette in my mouth only made me choke further. * * * Gabriel Parish needed the wealth that came when his grandfather passed away, but there was a catch, he had to be married, or have a wife of some sort for at least two years, and the 29 year old bachelor had no intention of ever getting a wife, they were too complicated.
