"Mr. Gue... Guevarra," I stuttered. I felt a sudden, heavy presence behind me while I was frantically shoving my notebooks into my bag for the next class. "Why the rush, Nathan?" he murmured. He leaned in, his lips grazing my earlobe as his nose lingered against the sensitive skin of my neck. His hot breath sent a jolt through me, intoxicating my senses. I gripped the edge of the desk, trying my hardest to steady my composure and keep my breathing even. But it was a losing battle; a soft, traitorous moan escaped my lips before I could stop it. I heard him chuckle-a low, vibrating sound that resonated against my back. He gently placed his hand on my waist, pulling me just an inch closer to him. "Nathan," he said, his voice dropping into a husky, dangerous register. It was a tone full of lust, but beneath that, I could still hear the care and love he tried to hide. "You... you don't know what kind of beast you've run into."

In this lifetime, Xiao Yu, the last descendant of the Moon Goddess, and Zhao Xianlan, the Heavenly Emperor, are destined to stand as opposing forces-like fire and ice. Yet what if destiny dared to rewrite their paths? Could love become the one force capable of bridging the divide? "Does our love mean nothing?" Zhao Xianlan asked, his words sharp and cutting, like the edge of a sword. "I do love you," Xiao Yu replied, "but sometimes love alone is not enough." "Remember this," Zhao Xianlan said, "I will carry the burden of hating you for the rest of my life. I relinquish my title as your Empress. In another life, I pray our paths never cross again." These were Xiao Yu's final words before darkness consumed him, like the last fading light of a setting sun. A heartrending tale of love, loss, and destiny, where even the strongest hearts may falter beneath the weight of fate
