Six grueling months of separation have changed the Batch. Crosshair is done. He's given up trying to fight, feeling as if there's no point in even trying. Omega is fueled. She's ready to come home to her family, no matter the risks. Althea is tired. Tired of losing people, tired of Hunter's overprotective nature, tired of failing. Hunter is desperate. Finding Omega leads the team to dangerous places, and he's terrified of losing the family he has left. Wrecker is worried. During the Clone Wars, the Bad Batch is tasked with a variety of missions across the galaxy. An unexpected addition to their team throws a wrench in the mix, particularly for Tech, who finds a particular connection with the disillusioned Padawan-turned-mechanic named Vel. Let's be honest... this is a slow burn, cheesy romance with just enough immersion in the Star Wars world to give us all a little vacation with one of our favorite clones. No smut, just PG-13 romance and adventure. It's like a mix of Pride and Prejudice and the Jim and Pam dynamic from The Office. Also, I did my best to keep a steady plot line and tried to think of all the potential plot holes or questions or whatnot, but ultimately, this was just an excuse to indulge in imagining a little romantic adventure for Tech.
