20 years in the future everything is on the brink of collapse, Sonic is no more, most of life is non-existent anymore, and those who remain are constantly being hunted by Metrax's forces. Azrael, the son of the war hero, The Guardian Angel, is sent back in time to try to fix things. What he doesn't know is that he wasn't the only one to be sent back in time, but he is the only one from his era to be sent back.
