When Maters best friend Sally invites him to watch an illegal race out in the Cadillac Range mountains just outside of Radiator Springs, he hardly thinks anything of it. She tells him theres a new racer out on the dirt and some more backstory about him that he doesn't care to remember, that is until he sees the racers lined up by their cars. He immediately takes interest in the new guy, a pretty blonde city boy in a car thats far too nice to be drifting around in the dirt.
