🏆Wattys 2019 Winner for Mystery & Thriller🏆 Sister Mary has lost her way, or so people think. Kicked out of her convent and sent away to be reformed, this jolly nun discovers her gift of glee is perfect for solving murders and the occasional naughty peek. ________________________________________ Merry Sister Mary is the world's most happy-go-lucky nun, and where the nuns are concerned, possibly the worst. She has none of the qualities reserved for a traditional lady of the cloth: a fear of water, an odd relationship with an umbrella, and no talent in teaching or nursing, yet Sister Mary believes she has a special God given power, laughter. Such a belief has led her to be kicked out of her convent in Chicago for accidentally flashing a group of churchgoers and deemed in desperate need of reform. She is sent on a bus to a stricter convent in New Orleans, Louisiana, but in a drama fueled twist, God has different plans for the joyous nun. She is to solve a murder. After missing the bus Sister Mary is forced to seek refuge with a Catholic family in the small town of St. Francisville. A horrific murder occurs sending the town into a frenzy of bittersweet joy. The person killed has long been despised and so named the Stanton Witch for the mystery surrounding her husband's death and the decades of misfortune since her arrival. In an effort to expose the truth, Sister Mary finds herself in the middle of one family's terrible and insidious secret. As the bodies pile up she uses her gift of glee to uncover the clues missed by the police and hopefully stop the killer from claiming another innocent victim. Her goal-- prove to the world once and for all that one does not need to be traditional to make a difference. As a kid, Raphael was a homophobic bully. Now, at age 23, he's grown out of the bully act. His homophobia? Still there, but it doesn't show often―after all, there are no gay people around him. Just his mom, ex-girlfriend, and daughter, Mia. Or so he thinks, until a phone call one morning comes with news that puts him face-to-face with his prejudice. But shaking prejudice is hard when your ashamed family, some hungry reporters, and a stubborn gay activist are breathing down your neck. Changing is hard, especially when you've buried skeletons.

**WINNER of 3 awards in 2016 and 2017** [[+18]] ** this book is on hold for now, but I haven't abandoned it. I'll do my best to get back and finish it, and many thanks for the amazing support from Aella fans <3 ** Aella is an island far away in the sea, with a few smaller islands around it. It is said that only the wind reaches it and ships rarely sail that far as it is mostly secluded from other lands. The Aellos is a tribe of several clans of hunters and warriors that existed for centuries on that island. Over the years, and mostly due to the harsh weather, the number of women have dropped drastically leading to fights and wars between the different clans of the tribe. Tired of being both subjects of dispute and objects of treaties, the proud women, referred to as Aellas, declared their own clan and secluded themselves in their own territory. Now there are only two clans: the Aellas, living in the north part of the island and above a very high cliff, and the Aellos, which is the clan of men living in the forests and small mountains on the rest of the island. All the laws of the tribe are now set for one purpose only: protecting the women and the survival of the tribe. To that reason, both clans meet once a year for what they call: Agape, the season of love, where a male from the Aellos and a woman from the Aellas choose each other to live together and enjoy each other's company for a month. Ceri, a 17 years old, is the only man living with the Aella clan. He was born and raised there, never once stepping foot beyond the limit of their territory... until the day he met the gorgeous Ithel. This is a romantic love story between the innocent Ceri and the lonely hunter, Ithel. [Disclaimer: Contains adult themes and graphic content + abuse and ra pe to be expected + manxman]
