Lapis Lazuli and Peridot Greene did not have what you would call a "friendship." Lapis would use Peridot for homework and cheated off her for test grades and in exchange, Peridot would get protection. They weren't really friends, more like partners. However, after an incorrect ingredient is used in a chemistry class, Lapis starts getting strange feelings for the small nerd. Feelings that extend far beyond friendship.

Peridot, the unpopular highschool nerd just wants to get through her last year of school quietly. But apparently that's impossible because of a rebellious blue haired actress and her tendency to pull peridot out of her comfort zone. It's bad enough getting bullied by an old friend, why couldn't she just leave her alone? As the first year of high school comes to a close, Peridot is pondering about how horrible her freshman year was in her old school. As some people teased and picked on her, and when her best friend and cousin Steven told her about how much fun band is at his school. After her mother leaving her and my little brother Max with my Aunt and Uncle's, she decides to join Geminite High School's Marching Band. Normally I'd be enjoying this party. This was my crowed after all, but today was different. Earlier on in the day I had run into the most irritating person ever. Peridot, who the fuck does she think she is? She was so fucking lazy and literally never did shit and she was top of the class. She acted as if she was better than everyone. She wouldn't even acknowledge anyone. That's how we ended up crashing into each-other. She looked at me as if I was nothing and then walked off.
