Things were the way they were supposed to be, the calenders rand in 14 months with letters as days, and they roamed the streets at night and slept during the day. It's not the lack of interaction that gets to me, it's the looks, the looks of pity. Their faces reflect it as they gaze at you like you are some helpless, wounded deer that will soon die because you are an easy meal to an obviously healthier, stronger predator.
