i decided to make a new oneshot book, a soft reboot of something that didn't even get to start

When a sudden foreign policy reset strands Alfred and Ivan in an isolated cabin deep in the snowy woods, both nations prepare for a month of predictable, bitter rivalry. Masterfully, they turn the small space into a cold war zone of suffocating silences. But the absolute quiet of the winter wilderness begins to fracture the defenses they have spent decades building. Hi everyone! I've been developing this story for a while and wanted to dive deep into a very complex, intense, and psychological post-Cold War dynamic. A quick heads-up on the tags: I have tagged for the major themes that appear throughout the fic so everyone can browse safely, but I recommend going into the chapters as blind as possible! I really wanted to capture a specific, unpredictable tension, and the plot twists are best experienced as they happen.
