After nearly a century of mundane life, Onyx, a Mishlaren from under the earth, has been called back into adventure. With a company of thirteen dwarfs and a questionably inexperienced hobbit she sets off to take back the old kingdom of Erebor. To Onyx her path has always been clear, but as she captures the attention of two dwarfs she begins to question if duty is always the right choice. Will Onyx take a leap of faith for the new emotions that drive her or will she push them away and choose duty over happiness?
