One day as they finally confess, the two of them come across a young girl. Without knowing the young girl's terrible past, they start to develop a love for her, sheltering her and becoming a family.

Maya was aware that she was causing a scene in the middle of the hospital, but she had been freaking out ever since Bailey had called her and said to come right away. Something had happened to Carina, Maya desperately needed to know what.
