While encountering old and new enemies of the Doctor, Annabelle finds out the truth of her unusual past a little bit at a time. For instance, how come she's able to remember the creatures that erase themselves from the memory of each living thing they're seen by? And why does it seem that almost every band of aliens they meet want to use her? - for what, she doesn't even know. What could be so peculiar about a thirteen year old? The Doctor vows to figure out all his questions: How does Annabelle know who River Song is? Why do all the evil-doers he's ever met want her on their side? And, the biggest question of all, why doesn't the Doctor remember his own daughter?

Hayden was cursed with nightmares. She had been ever since she was a kid. Then one day a tweed wearing weirdo comes up and basically admits his undying love for her before disappearing completely. The next day, he comes back to act as her substitute therapist and pretends that he knows nothing about her. Hayden believes he's either on drugs or is an alcoholic.
