For as long as Maeve Adams could remember living had been painful. At least it used to be, until she met Spencer Reid, her father, her dad. Until he decided that she was worth the risk of accepting her into his family. And until Maeve decided that he was worth dying for. Now it's all over. Maeve somehow survived, her mother is back in jail and Maeve herself is no longer on probation. Plus, a certain blonde seems to not hate her as much as Maeve had assumed. Things should be good, Maeve should be able to relax now, finally. For some reason she can't and neither can Spencer. Maybe because they know that they're not through the worst of it yet. Maybe because they can tell that a storm is on the horizon, strong enough to destroy the fragile peace they built for themselves.

"I'm so sorry Spence- I don't know how to tell you this but... It's Cat Adams.", JJ said and Reid's heart skipped a beat. He hadn't heard that name in years. Last time he checked Cat was on death row, awaiting execution for her crimes. "What about her?", Reid asked, his voice suddenly faint. "She escaped prison last night." The day that Spencer's life got blown to pieces once more, started out just the same as all the other days that came before it. That's the problem with catastrophes, sometimes they come with no warning signs and sometimes you just miss them . Sometimes you are too busy livivng your perfect life to notice the nuke that is heading towards you. Reid should've known that things were going a little too well for a little too long and just as he suspected, he just wasn't made for this kind of life.
