Durante muitos anos, humanos e merfolks viveram em conflito, mas um tratado entre os povos fez tudo mudar. Eles não viviam apenas em harmonia, mas também se juntavam em matrimônio e formavam famílias. A união entre os filhos da terra e os filhos do mar fez criar uma nova espécie de indivíduos: os híbridos. Esses seres fascinantes carregavam o DNA dos dois povos. Em terra firme,tinham pernas humanas, mas o contato com a água do mar, as pernas eram substituídas por uma bela cauda de merfolk. Nossa história se passa no Rio de Janeiro, onde na Cidade Maravilhosa, havia um bairro chamado "Amigos Mistos" ,onde os humanos casados com merfolks viviam em casas flutuantes na beira do mar. Nesse bairro estão Arista e Tentron, híbridos que têm a missão de unir mais ainda os dois mundos, junto com outros da mesma espécie, sendo filhos da terra e do mar.
