Sara, an enthusiastic badminton player, was forced to quit at the age of 21 after trying to be the best for years. A returning injury kept her from staying at her best performance for too long and it became impossible to get through the year without any injuries or even a couple. The Belgian girl from Wallonia didn't mind quitting as she had just gotten married to her childhood friend and quickly found herself a new job at Vogue in Paris. Together with her husband and cat, she moved to an apartment in Paris. Life was good for a while. Stress, required travelling, trend fitting clothes and the required meeting of new people, put a strain on their relationship. They fought more and after a while decided they had married without knowing what they would be getting into. They were going to fight to improve their relationship, but one year later, they decided it best to split. Marrying wasn't a mistake, but it hadn't been the right decision. In a mutual decision, they filed for a divorce. As a newly single lady, for the first time in seven years, Sara is living her best life. When Vogue asks her to meet with the McLaren drivers, both handsome young men and like brothers to each other in a world where your teammate is your worst enemy, she happily accepts. Sara is familiar with racing, two of her friends are racing drivers in formula one and two respectively. She goes to see them whenever they are racing in France or Belgium and enjoys cheering them on. After just going through a divorce, Sara has no interest in men. She was going to enjoy her life as it was, without any responsibilities except for her work and family. Carlos Sainz, however, finds a way in. First as a friend, but slowly, as more than that. She joins him to races and events related to his team. She becomes his date to them and then his date to dates, until eventually, after a while Sara finally realises that there is no way around it anymore. She is in love with the Spanish driver in papaya orange.

Clara Horner is a hard working young MD living in London who happens to be the niece of the Red Bull Racing Team Principal Christian Horner. She doesn't have time for watching the races, until every minute of her life becomes filled with Formula 1. I changed a small bit of history - Daniel is still at RB, not Renault. Just because we adore Maxiel, right? Also, English is (obviously, duh) not my first language so be patient.

BOOK 1 Alyssa has been racing under a fake persona for most of her sporting career after becoming sick of the constant dismissal of her talent because of her gender. Gender clearly didn't play a role in driving ability. In her debut season in Formula 2 in 2018 with ART, she finished a single point behind the championship winner, Nick de Vries. She only seemed to improve and managed to beat her teammate, Robert Schwartzman, for the championship in her second year. Despite this, she refused to take off her helmet and reveal her identity to the world. If it hadn't been for Force India spotting her and recommending the young girl, despite her gender, to be a part of a dominant F2 team, Alyssa would never have made it all the way into F1. The pink team, who were successfully clawing back after a dip in performance, liked to gamble; it was certainly a risk when they decided to promote Alyssa up into F1 as a replacement for Sergio Perez. The Brit was only eighteen years old when Force India told her about Checo's retirement, and how she was to be his replacement. Her ability to maintain her F2 champion status despite filling in for him in the F1 seat on two occasions was a main motivator for the decision. They were aware of her struggles to make it as far as she had done so respected her wishes to keep the helmet on and her identity hidden. It brought them more sponsors than Esteban Ocon, and therefore more money to improve the car - why would they complain? For Alyssa, this was a real chance to prove herself. A woman can and will make it big in a male-dominated sport. But will it pay off when it's lights out?
