After Parent's Day, there was still half a summer to go. Most everyone had been back in a good mood after getting to see their parents again, but Max was still his own self. David thought about this a lot. Then again, so did Gwen. It kept both of them awake for all hours of the night to think that one of their campers had a family that couldn't even bother to sign their son up for an activity, or to show up for Parent's Day. The camp got happier, Max didn't. As he got worse, the others became happier, and the counselors more worried.

"Don't rock the boat, Maxwell" "Don't start the flood, Maxwell." "Don't anger the Sharks, Maxwell" ------- Max's parents have always told him not to 'start the flood' As in, don't cause trouble, Maxwell, you'll just cause trouble to yourself. Max never did. But when he got back home from camp, he was pissed. His parents didn't pick him up until one in the morning, and they obviously didn't care. So Max stared the flood. He yelled at his parents for neglecting they're only son, and his parents were pissed. Max started the flood. His parents started to abuse Max more then usual, the they forced him to do all the chores, and they rarely fed him. So he ran away. And as luck would have it, a certain ginger found him. ------ "You've started a never ending flood, Maxwell. Now you'll have to live with it" ------ Dadvid is best David. ☆☆☆☆ #4 in Dadvid

NOT MAXVID I DONT SHIP ADULTS WITH TEN YEAR OLDS. When David goes to adopt a kid, the last person he expects to see is Max. But of course when he sees HIS camper stuck in the group home, he has to take Max with him back to a place for you and me. Camp Campbell. Disclaimer: I don't own camp camp, obviously. All I own is the story. Warning, this story is completely self indulgent, I wrote it because no one had written the story I wanted to read. Max's coffee machine is stolen and he is raising Hell to get it back. By the time he has a suspect, his teddy bear goes missing as well. Who is taking his stuff, and why? As the days grew closer to the last day of camp, David started to see a change in Max's behavior. When the day finally arrived, David saw just how terrible Max's parents actually were. Now David has to fight to get Max in to a loving home.

It was nearing the end of Summer, meaning all the other campers and Max were going home. On the last day, David noticed Max acting differently than he usually does, but he brushes it off, and all the campers go home. Until a turn of events happen.
