A princess in search of her past. A boy driven by money. A crew that is loyal to the end. Princess Ria is adopted, and she has lived with the acceptance that she will never know her real parents. But when she learns of the existence of her adoption document that was kept hidden from her all her life, the desire to know her past is triggered. She is determined to get her hands on it and she sets off on an adventure aboard the Opal with her childhood friend--an army lieutenant--and a crew of cunning sea drifters. She hires this group to plan and execute a heist to retrieve the document, but when she obtains it, she finds more than what she is looking for--something that can root doubt in the people of the kingdom and threaten her brother's throne. On her journey, she works with Gin, a sea drifter and a concresi--one with the ability to influence tangible non-living materials. For years, he has worked on grand thievery jobs, gaining a reputation for the Opal. He is a skilled dredger, and undefeated in coin dives. Despite his past, he is strong minded but bad history had its way of sowing cynicism in him. He cares about money and his crewmates, nothing more. To him, the rich are all the same selfish and egocentric people, and he sees Ria as one of them. Ria and Gin don't trust each other but when plans go awry, they are forced to set aside their differences to survive. Running for their lives across the Kingdom of the Draga Isles, a friendship grows between them and blooms into a forbidden passion that neither of them has expected. * * Inspired by the Bajau (sea nomads) in the Philippines. * Completed Draft 0 * #Romantasy #Fantasy #Steampunk #Romance #Adventure #YoungAdult #Action * #20 in #FantasyRomance (out of 23K stories) (04/30/23) #2 in #FilipinoAuthor (05/29/23) #12 in #Filipino (07/09/23) #3 in #Steampunk (05/28/23) #16 in #Heist (05/27/23) #10 in #Gypsy (05/27/23)

(Book 3 of "The Four" series) (NOT EDITED AT ALL) (LOTS OF GRAMMAR ERRORS) (I was young when I wrote this lol) They thought they were going to ruin the world. They thought the war would go on until both sides were illuminated. But it just so happens the world they live in isn't what they thought it was. Now Paytah, Aira, Juris and Lana must find out why everyone else is different from them, and why Hanson put them and all the other elements through this. The test they went through was just a warmup, because the real test has just begun. Half the world thinks the government should be punished for doing this to them, while the other half wants them dead, gone, forgotten. Will the four teens survive when half the world wants them dead? Or will they fail trying to take on the real world?

Melissa Crawford thinks she's just a regular teenage girl. She goes to school. She has friends, boy problems, homework...you know, the typical teenage angst. But she couldn't be more wrong, for Melissa Crawford is not a mortal. Her adoptive mortal mother refused to give her up and hired a witch to erase the enchanting Faery child's memory, not realizing that things aren't that simple. You see, when she was a little girl, Melissa promised herself forever to her Leannan Sidhe (mate), a Fae Prince, and a promise to Fae is sacred. When the Fae Prince comes back to claim what's his, nothing will get in his way. "Mortals are so arrogant. So utterly narcissistic to think that they are the only intelligence in this world, to believe their realm is the only realm, their way is the only way. "Many of you believe us fairies only exist in little kids' fairy tales. We are so much more than that. We exist, living in the Realm just a blink away from yours. A few wrong turns in the park or the forest and you're there. We sometimes walk among you, and you're not even aware of it. Believe me, we exist. Across the globe, your kind calls us and our realm by different names...but as William Shakespeare once said- a rose by any other name..."
