Harper Rye can, to put it simply, read minds. It's not something she consciously does. Her quirk simply allows her to pick up people's thoughts, regardless of whether she wants to or not. The fact that she can't turn it off makes having such a power nearly unbearable. To make matters worse, she's somehow managed to fall under the radar of the super-genius principal of UA high, Nezu. He's sure there's a traitor amongst them, and is convinced Harper is the key to finding them and shutting them down. Plunged into a world she never wanted to be in, Harper finds herself on the fast track to becoming a hero, maybe managing to make some friends for once in her life, and quite possibly saving Japan from near-certain destruction.

"No one makes a move to help anyone, even if they can, because that's the way the population is taught to think. Either you have a flashy quirk and become a hero, have a deadly quirk and become a villain, or have a useless quirk and be a background citizen..." Having ended up with the most unfortunate quirk, Izuku almost wished he'd simply been quirkless. The universe must've been kidding him. His quirk was way too villain-like for him to be a hero. But that made him all the more determined to be one. Just... in a different way.

Izuku Midoriya has been gifted with a very random and bizarre quirk that allows him to create coffee out of thin air with the simple wave of his finger tips. Thanks to such a quirk, you can imagine that his dreams to become a hero were crushed in no time by his classmates and peers' constant remarks. Yet in due time, he found peace within himself that allowed a smooth and content course through life. Yet that all changed one evening once he met a sleep deprived man in the city park. What shocked him most of all, was that this strange guy who he presumed to be half dead on a park bench, was in fact offering him a once in a lifetime opportunity to work as an... As an assistant? ~•~•~•~•~•~•~ Or: Aizawa adopts Izuku before All Might can. (This story was adotpted from the lovely @Codename_Deku ) °•°Undergoing Revision°•°

If anyone in class 1-A was asked what they thought of Izuku Midoriya, then they would use the exact same three things to describe him. 1. Determined Izuku just thought of himself as the luckiest guy alive, and that there was really nothing too extraordinary with his plain face and regular career pursuit. 2. He would do anything to be a hero But in truth Izuku was the one who was wrong. He may have been quirkless at some point in his life, but he wasn't any more! Now he had the power to defeat wrong doers. 3. He protected the innocent Izuku Midoriya was the true definition of a hero. Villains such as Shigaraki and Stain knew, the public who had seen his drive on television knew, his mother knew, but all those who were in 1-A knew especially. The look in his eyes when the Villains attacked the USJ, his drive at the sports festival. Those who knew of Stain remember the pain in his eyes as Izuku was nearly killed in front of them, but still tried to defend his friends. How far that Izuku had gone to get Bakugou back from the League of Villains, the scream he had made still haunted Mezo Shoji in his dreams. The point is that Izuku loved his friends, family, and teachers. Since the moment he had kneeled before All Might and was told he could be a hero. Izuku had known he would do anything for those close to him. Which lead up to this moment
