Lilac can lie to anyone, until she meets a handsome boxer who sets her body on fire. Suddenly, she finds herself wanting to tell the truth. "Literally the best books I've ever read on this app!" - @seraphilc "This book really made me feel things. This is one of those books I'll never forget" - @dudeidevenk "This book was amazing. Intriguing plot line mixed with captivating writing style. I 100% think everyone should read it!"- @EatingMegannnnn ***** "You're telling me you don't feel this?" He surprised me by asking. He was looking at me in a way that me feel like I was already naked. "Feel what?" I asked him, even though I knew exactly what he was talking about. The air between us was so thick, it was almost suffocating. Like we were made of two completely different ingredients that were begging to be mixed together. "This attraction between us, Lilac," he whispered out, placing his hands on either side of my head against the wall, trapping me from escaping him. Not that I wanted to.

*COMPLETE*** "You're not playing fair," I whispered, shuddering when I felt his lips and the stubble on his jaw brush against the side of my neck. "I don't recall making rules," he said, lifting his head, our noses nearly touching as he stared into my eyes. "If there aren't rules, then I can't be playing unfair." "Friends don't talk this close," I said as he took a step closer. "Or touch this much." "Friends also don't respond to their friends' touch the way you are to mine," he said, bringing his hand up to my jaw and tilting my face up towards his, his lips centimeter from mine. "I personally think you set our friendship up for failure by assuming our connection could be ignored. I've never been good at friendship anyway, I say we try something I could do better at." "What could you do better at, Milo?" I asked, a shaky breath escaping me as his lips leaned in closer and only turned away from mine at the last minute. His lips brushed against my ear as his hand moved to the back of my head, threading through my hair as he whispered. "Us." Emery has been in Europe the last eight months. Not only that, she had to nurse a broken heart with her lover, Milo, and was doing the best she could, so good she met someone new. It seemed the new man in her life was more than enough for her feelings for Milo to dissipate, or at least she thought, until Milo contacts her. Milo's been going through some intensive personal growth as his psychologist works with him on some unresolved issues and challenges that went undiagnosed when Milo was a child. Milo is in the process of learning to break free from poisonous words that filled his head as a child. Through it all he had one goal in sight: to be well enough to be with Emery. He works up the courage to contact her but finds a lot can change in a few months.

It's euphoria and relaxation all at once if it's being done right. All those touches," he brushed his fingers against my neck and I shivered. "All the arousal," he stepped closer and dropped his head next to mine, his hot breath hitting my skin. "All the kisses in all the right places," he murmured, his lips brushing against my ear. Sierra Lancaster has had an agonizingly mediocre life. She grew up in a happy home, made loyal friends, graduated college, and is now pursuing her dream of running her own bakery. Boring, right? A story like this wouldn't be one for the books. At least not until you bring a hot neighbour into the mix. A tall, brooding, shredded (like, wash your clothes on those abs shredded), and wildly successful sports agent. Interested yet? It gets better. Said neighbour isn't just a rando, but Sierra's childhood nemesis that made her formerly chubby days a living hell. Now we're talking, aren't we? Holden Rey has always been the golden boy. Holden...golden...you following? You'd think the bitchy universe would do its job and throw some karma his way but to no avail. Not only has he got it all, but he knows it too. He also still has it out for Sierra and resumes being a jack-ass of epic proportions (and his ass ain't his only epic proportion) as soon as he realizes who the new girl next door is. It's the same old story with these two except this time, there's unwilling attraction and sexual tension underneath all the hate. Is it just lust or does the bitchy universe actually have a plan? So maybe this story is one for the books after all. *A hilarious, enemies-to-lovers, romantic standalone. Rated 18+ due to mature content. All rights reserved to TheFeveredBookaholic.*
