Rajveer walked around the campus for a bit longer, observing every corner of the academy and remembering his days when he was a cadet. Soon he reached the wall of fame. There he noticed a girl standing in front of joti jawan in casual wear. He knew that she is a first-year cadet, as the new admissions were still to recieve their uniform. To know more about his future student, he questioned the girl standing in front of him in a black top;
"fresher?,"
the girl's back visibly stiffened. It was Naina whose eyes were ready to pop out-- her eyebrows shot up in surprise, almost reclining into her hairline. It was the same soothing voice Naina had heard almost six months back, but it was still fresh in her mind. When he got no answer, Rajveer tried again with another question;
"Name?"
Naina wasn't ready to face him in such an unexpected place and in the situation she was in. She prayed it to be either Pooja or someone else. But when no one answered, she slowly turned around to check for someone else he might be directing his question to, but instead, she caught him staring at her with shock and amusement.
"Naina-ah, sh-Singh sir!"
Her voice was a bit strangulated, not sure of what to speak. It was quite a shock for Rajveer to recover from and Naina was anxious about his presence in the academy. The staring competition between the two broke when Pooja called from the corridor;
"Naina chal-- lunch ka time ho gaya. Mujhe bhi un lakon se no. exchange karne hai jiske tower se tumne connect kiya tha subh"
Naina hurriedly left from there and Rajveer strolled towards the wall of fame where his best friend's name was imprinted but his photo was missing. He walked up to the wall in a daze and mumbled;
" Naveen-- teri--- yahan--!"
and he went speechless--
