carman is the forest maiden, unique young woman, cast out of society for her craft, all she ever wants to do is help people with magick and natural healing spells that her mother, the previous forest maiden taught her. but that is not enough and society cannot see that. a series of short poems tell the story of carman's true love and daughter, who she helped with her skills, but wasn't able to save.

Castro District of San Francisco, 1995. A world of pride, ignorance, AIDS, and most importantly the Spiky Lesbians, queer superheros trying to rid the world (or at least the state of California) of homophobia and ignorance. Sabrina and Blair, the moms of the group, constantly trying to keep Alfie from sticking his hand in another fricking blender and trying to lead the ragtag bunch. Maya, the genius behind all their technology who fled Brazil in the 80s to get away from a transphobic past. Ella, a fierce and independent young woman who's best friends with Alfie, the young British time traveler who wound up in the middle of this mess from his perfect on the outside (but not on the inside) life in 2019. Then there's Chi, the recluse writer who gets dragged in by Alfie. Add some grunge concerts, abusive boyfriends, prank wars, religious cults, repressed feelings, gay emo strangers with beautiful long hair, and lots and lots of puns, and you have the story of the Spiky Lesbians.

If you like fluffy holiday stories with almost no plot (Hallmark Channel stuff) but are tired of the skinny white straight characters they seem to exclusively have, then you've found the right story. This is about six kids who don't really know eachother, but end up good friends when they're trapped in a store because of a terrible storm, they end up missing a bunch of stuff because they're trapped in a god forsaken walmart and all the roads and stuff are closed. idk is this indie or whatever?

Adelaide lives in a tower. Genevieve is the dragon that guards the tower. One might think that these two would hate each other, but it is really quite the opposite. The only think that Adelaide loves more than her tower is her best friend Genevieve. Adelaide and Genevieve live a calm life full of books and tea, as life should be. That is, until something horrific happens to the two of them, and nothing will ever be the same for them. Adelaide strikes out for revenge and on her adventure she finds a version of herself she thought she'd never discover. Venture out with Adelaide on a journey that will never be as good of a girl-trapped-in-tower story as Shrek, but hey, I tried.
