Though the industry is beginning to boom due to recent advances in technology, she is doubtful for finding a job. An advertisement on the radio to work with Macbeth Footwear spikes her interest, and as a last resort she applies for an internship there. She meets Tom DeLonge, who quickly takes notice and asks her to work for him.
